Whether you lose your teeth all at once or over time, you still need help getting your mouth back to the way that it was before you started losing teeth. It is serious when you lose teeth, no matter how it happened. That’s because when you lose teeth, you can begin to lose bone mass in your jaw. Over time, the loss of your teeth can even affect how your jaw or the shape of your face looks. Blood can stop flowing to that part of your jaw because you don’t have teeth there that need nutrients. You will experience bone loss in your jaw over time unless you replace the teeth in your jaw.

Replacing Your Teeth


When you lose a lot of teeth, our All-on-4® technique is a great way to replace all of your upper teeth, lower teeth, or both your upper and lower teeth. The way that we do the All-on-4® procedure is simple. First, if you have any teeth remaining in the jaw where you need implants, we will extract them. Once your gums are healed, we can place four screws in your jaw. The screws are titanium, so they can last a long time. These screws act like the tooth roots for your jaw. Once we place them, the screws act like your regular teeth. Your jaw even thinks you have real teeth, so it continues to function normally, the way it did before you began to lose your teeth.

The All-on-4® technique means that we can use four screws to implant a complete set of teeth, rather than one tooth for each screw, which is the normal procedure. This shortens your healing time. In some cases, we can do the All-on-4® procedure in a day, including your prosthetic teeth.
