Bleeding Gums

Gums are pink in color and firm, not red and swollen. If your gums are bleeding, it could signify periodontal disease. This oral condition is an infection of the gums that can eventually lead to tooth loss. The primary stage of periodontal disease is called gingivitis. Gingivitis is when the gums are red, swollen, and bleed easily. If you get gingivitis, your gums may be sensitive to brushing or flossing. Receding Gums
