What should I do during the recovery process after a periodontal procedure. When periodontal diseases are left untreated, they might experience bone loss and other serious health issues. After the periodontist performs the procedure, at-home care tips and remedies should be observed to fasten recovery and reduce the risks of infection.

Conditions as how one can reduce discomfort after the process

The bleeding can be controlled with the use of gauze. After the minor surgery, bleeding is normal, but it can be controlled by using a surgical gauze kept in the mouth for some hours. It should be changed and replaced with a new dressing. Many rinsing should be avoided and spitting for a healthy clot to form. In case of swelling, one can use simple packs procedures like soft lasers can lead to inflammation and swelling of the gums. A fantastic pack is applied on the side of the face. The packs should be used every 15 minutes. The cold packs should not be used directly on the wound and mouth. The swelling should stop after a few days.

How can one manage the pain?

After the periodontal procedure, one can manage pain with some medication's painkillers can be used to reduce pain as there is some discomfort which is felt this painkiller they can be acquired over the counter one should also use antibiotics which help in reducing and avoiding infection of the treated area they also avoid spread of bacteria to other body parts.

The diet one takes after the procedure the patient should maintain the diet and should take soft drinks for some days to avoid destroying the treated area. A balanced diet should be taken, and also supplements of minerals should be in the diet to speed up the healing process. Treating the periodontal diseases oral health has a significant impact on your overall health; thus, visit a periodontist when one notices a periodontal condition.

This Doctor is a true healer!

Dr. Bembey is truly a healer. Not one of those Doctors who is in it for the money. You can tell that she loves her job. She actually made it enjoyable, and I don’t normally think of gum surgery as something to enjoy. She is very knowledgeable, and her skills are awesome! She communicates well and tells you small details that really help a lot. And she is there for you if you need her. Most importantly, she saved me from loosing my teeth! This Doctor is a GEM!!! I highly recommend her.
